Five Weeks Owl'd!

For his 5 Week photo, Ben was placed on a backdrop of owls. We almost did his room in an owl motif so its no wonder why we liked this fabric! Enjoy!

Ben is celebrating his 4-week birthday and St. Patricks Day this week with a shamrock fabric and a "pot O' gold" one-sie!

Ben's First Pediatrician Appointment Today

Ben went to see Dr. LaRosa for the first time since she examined him right after he was born! He was an extremely good boy for the doctor. He just laid there while she examined him. She bent him in every which direction and shined her light in his eyes and still not a peep! Then it went down hill. While Ben had his diaper off for the exam, he pee'd up his torso. Then he had to get pricked in the heal for a blood sample for testing. He didn't like that at all. Daddy held him while he screamed during the whole ordeal. Mommy stood there feeling helpless and nauseous.

The Dr. said Ben is in the 85th percentile for his weight. He is a good eater so he definitely packed on the ounces since his last appointment. He weighed just under 8lbs at his 5 day checkup and today he weighed in at 9lbs 13ozs! His length was measured at 23" (up from 21").

Dr. LaRosa said he was in great shape and very healthy, alert, and strong. He doesn't need to go back until his 2-month checkup where he will receive his first shots! Cue the ominous music....Dum, dum, dummmm!!!

Two Weeks Old!!

My, what a difference a week makes. If you look at the differences between last week's photo and this week's, you will see a more alert baby. He is settling into a routine. We know what times of day he is cranky, hungry, happy, and tired. Which is GREAT for us! Ben moved into his crib last night for the first time. No more c0-sleeping with Mommy and Daddy. He did well too! He slept for 4 hours straight...had a meal and a diaper change and then slept for 3 more hours. Hope you enjoy this project. Ben Declares His Allegiance

Ben grabbed a football and struck a quarterback's pose at his 1st photo shoot last week. One couldn't help but to notice his Buffalo Bills Onesie. He knows where his allegiance is:

1 Week Old!

Can you believe it? We can't! Benny is already 1 week old. We feel like he has grown up so much in the last week. He has gone from getting little patches of sleep at night to 5 hour stretches! He has been to California Pizza Kitchen, twice and has a new wardrobe! In honor of his one week birthday, we did a photo shoot. We borrowed an idea we saw from the couple on Younghouselove.com. We thought it was a great idea for documenting his 1st year.
